UFWH Step Up - Tower Run
Organised during the module Event 2 at Stenden Thailand with the Universities Fighting World Hunger (UFWH), the Tower Run was a sports event organised by and for students. This first instalment of the run was organised to raise awareness for the malnutrition problems in South-East Asia.

Awareness and Fun
People start to gain more awareness about the hunger problems around the world, though there is not a lot of knowledge, especially under the students, about malnourishment. Over 70% of all the malnourished children live in South-East Asia, which is why we decided to focus on this specific subject. By combining the information with fun elements, we wanted to educate the students in a playful way.
With the combination of promoting a healthy diet, the creation of awareness for world problems, and the physical play element of racing against other teams up 16 floors, 80 persons participated, achieving a total of 30.240 steps, and a live-stream on Facebook with over 1.400 people watching from all over the world! This event was a great success and will, from now on, be organised every year at Stenden Thailand/PIM.

My Roles
During this event I was mainly responsible for the financial aspects. This includes creation and everything else surrounding the budget of the event, as well as the management of receipts and communication between the different financial partners. Moreover, I management the purchases and inventory, as well as helping with the general organisation before, during and after the event.
